Strive for Respect, Not Love
There are two terms leaders must understand to successfully lead: respect versus love. They are not mutually inclusive. Where love exists without respect is a place where leaders cannot lead. Feeling loved by your team is a good thing, but feeling respected is a mandatory thing.
