Choose Delegation, Not Dumping

Think about when you have assigned a task or project to one of your team members. Did you jettison the task to them or entrust them with it? When you choose a team member only because you can’t be bothered with the task, you are dumping on them. When your choice demonstrates your confidence in their specific gifts and talents, you have successfully delegated. Before you assign, think about whether you are delegating or dumping.
